Puerto Rico closed 2025 with 6.8 million visitors, 3% more than the year before. It is the fifth record in a row, which is a long enough run to stop calling it a recovery.
The figure that says more is not visitors but nights: 7.9 million booked, up 8%. It grew faster than the number of people, which means whoever comes is staying longer. Lodging revenue came in around 1,990 million.
And there is a third number almost nobody looks at: 262,779 hotel nights booked by conventions and events, up 18%, with 207 million behind them. That segment is what fills the months that are neither December nor March, and it is the difference between a tourism economy and a season.
